Samsung’s awestruck 3D TV commercial is lovely

Posted on 09:36 by Unknown
Since 3D is the ‘in’ trend right now, I’d like to share with our readers this very lovely commercial from Samsung. It’s the commercial for Samsung’s new 3D TV. Very cool commercial indeed, even thought it’s not quite the real-thing when we buy it, as we still need the 3D glasses. Nevertheless, it still gives me the awestruck feeling when watching it.

ony get’s into the 3D mood with some new 3D products.

As the World Cup comes nearer, Sony has finally mingled into the 3DTV market previously dominated by Samsung and Panasonic. As there are around 25 matches that will be broadcasted in 3D, it seemed like a good time for Sony to finally penetrate this rather skeptical market.

But Sony is not dipping their toe onto this shallow water, its throwing in a bunch of blast. 7 new models of 3D-Ready TVs to be exact. They range from the (5) entry-level 40 – 55 inch models, to the lucrative (2) 52 – 60 inch models. Those high-end Bravia XBR-H909 series comes with integrated 3D right out of the box, while the rest entry-level models requires sync-transmitters, which cost $50, to make them 3D-capable. Besides, there are the Sony active shutter glasses which cost $150 each. Ouch!

But at least you’ll be getting some consolation prizes that will ease your soul when you throw your greens into buying these. Sony is throwing in a 3D Blu-ray “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” and “Deep Sea” to make you watch them for your whole summer and winter, unless there’s more 3D Blu-ray titles coming out.

Along having 3D-Ready TVs, Sony is also launching a new 3D Blu-ray player in the month of July. The BDP-S770 comes with integrated 802.11n that has WPS security, and tags along a friend, the 5.1 channel speaker system from Sony. Here are some of the S770 specs:

* Full HD 1080p single-disc Blu-ray Disc™, DVD, CD, SA-CD player
* Blu-ray 3D™ capable
* BRAVIA® Monolithic Design matching
* BRAVIA® Internet Video
* Built-in Wi-Fi® Wireless (802.11n) with Wi-Fi® Protected Setup (WPS)
* Entertainment Database Browser with Gracenote™ technology
* BD Remote (iPhone/iPod touch remote control – free app.)
* Photo/music/video playback via USB and DLNA®
* DVD upscaling to 1080p with Precision Cinema HD Upscaling
* Dolby® TrueHD and dts®-HD Master Audio™ decoding
* Built-in 1GB Memory

Sony’s hasn’t really forgotten about their older Blu-ray players, the BDP-S470 and BDP-S570, they’ll be able to play Blu-ray 3D with a free online firmware update (and get DLNA compatibility too). The S770 retails at $300.
