Futuristic mirror is already here!

Posted on 01:31 by Unknown

Have you ever thought about how advance your life would be, and so does the rest of your world, when you wake up and brush your teeth while looking at the latest news and weather on your mirror? Won’t your mirror in your bathroom look like a mirror-finish monitor with lots of widgets? Well not many, perhaps two or three widgets, but that’s still very futuristic. But it’s already a present technology, with EXISTING product that is exactly like that, and they’re in Hong Kong!

It’s called the Cybertecture Mirror, and is set to start taking pre-orders in December, and will (hopefully) be shipped by the middle of next year. The brainchild of one James Law, this reflective renegade measures 800 x 500 x 50mm, comes with stereo speakers totalling 10W of power output, WiFi, IP41 waterproofing, and fog-resistant glass. Before you ask if it runs Android, both the display and operating system are said to be proprietary, with the latter offering access to messaging, weather, calendar, and apps, such as an included fitness-tracking utility. Wen Wei Po reports a 60,000 HKD ($7,733) launch price and a very ambitious expectation that two million Mirrors will be sold over the first three years. Hell yeah, I’d love to have one! Can somebody buy me one, please?

France’s uber cool racing arcade looks and feels like the real thing

Posted on 04:25 by Unknown

In Lyon, France, lies a magical and glamorous “Disney land” for those petrol heads. A place that you should be in instead, if you’re at E3 looking for some car racing sim games. Its called the i-Way.

Each race cost around #73 (€60), and if you’d like to take part in the race packages like running in a league or tournament, that’s $770 (€630)for 10 races. Surely that place won’t be swarmed with kids running and screaming around with such a grand price. There are 18 6-axis car simulators featuring full-sized versions of Formula 1, rally, touring, and endurance race cars.

If you ever need a pit stop from all the crazy racing, this place is packed! Talk about in-house spa with the GT girls (I made that up), conference rooms for meeting half way during a race, restaurants, lounges, and even office space. That’s a lot of things in a building. No wonder it took 4 years to build.
