Yes, the Wii Remote Plus is a simple bundle that adds that MotionPlus into your typical Wiimote, but they’re doing it fair as it’s only priced at $39.99. You surely won’t miss it, as it’s packed in a super bright crimson red package. Might be the influence of that New Super Mario Bros included in the bundle. Regardless, that’ll be $199, and that new, 25th Anniversary red DSi XL bundle Nintendo announced last month is official too, costing $179. All three launch in just a couple weeks, on November 7, so get ready to ditch those dongles.

Dell reshuffles marketing strategy, kills off Adamo lineup

When Dell refreshes its dying XPS laptop lineup, the company somehow also reshuffles its marketing strategy. The company’s products are now split into three groups: Inspiron, XPS, and Alienware. Obviously the one missing here is the ‘Adamo’ fashionable lineup. Yes, when Dell went back to the drawing board for their business tactics, they killed the Adamo somehow. Somehow, this can be further proven by the sneaky disappearance of the Adamo XPS from Dell’s site — it’s completely killing off the premium brand and has actually tamped down volumes of the super thin machines.

Well, the ‘Adamo’ naming might be axed, but the spirit will somehow live on. Dell VP Ed Boyd stated that similar products will be coming to the XPS line early next year. This is actually part of Dell’s ‘ultimately cost hundreds of millions of dollars’ marketing campaign, according to Dell CMO Paul-Henri Ferrand who told Reuters.

Not a shocker, but a very big welcome indeed. Since both Android and Google TV comes from the big daddy G-man Google, we’d expect them to have both siblings able to communicate with each other. Logitech may have its own set of accessories for its Revue Google TV box, but having your existing Android phone to control your future Google TV devices seemed to be a great idea.

SSD itself is already expensive to implement, but when you bring in PCIe SSD solutions for even faster speed, that’s gonna bloody hell blow away your bank. But now, your instantaneous booting dreaming can come true, in a fraction of a price all thanks to the holy Angelbird Wings solution.

With read performance of up to 1GB/s and writes happening at up to 900MB/s and costing ‘merely’ $239 for a 16GB model, the pricing isn’t too bad – for this sort of setup, anyway. At least they tried. It’s a good start you know. What you’re getting for that money is an expandable PCIe controller board with slots for up to four SSDs of 120GB in size, each offering SandForce 1200 controllers. With one board you’ll get pedestrian read and write speeds of just under 300MB/s. But, with each new drive you basically multiply that, with the maximum figures quoted above coming with four. Interestingly, the controller comes with its own onboard Linux flavor called Virtue, a full UI that you can boot directly into and get all your RAID ducks in a row. Full cost for a fully kitted out system with four boards? $1399, which is hardly cheap for a mere 500GB or so of storage, but is a solid price for 1GB/s performance.

No Gran Turismo 5 in your Christmas socks this time?

Gran Turismo 5 continues to tease while enraging all gamers worldwide, for that one day when we can drive the Red Bull X1 Prototype around with our controller. The game was supposed to be released on November 2nd, but an announcement on the US Playstation blog said it was pushed back… again. The only clue to the new release date was that it would be available this holiday season. What does that mean exactly? Cancel your New Year party and camp outside the game shop for the game during New Year Eve, or after, or before. We weren’t sure. Even some of the e-tailers weren’t sure too!

Amazon lists the game for a New Year Eve release, whereas Gamestop stated that it’s going to be available on New Year Day. Best Buy has a release date for the 2nd day of 2011. This is all a mess! It’s so messed up, that even Wal-Mart removed the release date altogether. Have your fingers crossed that Polyphony wont’ decide to push it back to next year’s Christmas Eve!

Steve Jobs don’t want you to mess with his Air…

Obviously, the naughty hands over at iFixit rushed to get hold of the MacBook Air that was just launched. But somehow, they find it pretty frustrating, though not that hard still, to open up the new ‘Air’. Here’s the highlight given by iFixit:

* The flip-open port door has been scrapped and the IR sensor and sleep LED are gone. In exchange, the new model manages to fit an extra USB 2.0 port along its right edge.
* Apple apparently doesn’t want you inside this thing. They decided to use proprietary 5-point security Torx screws to attach the lower case. Once inside, the Air is held together with more normal 6-point T5 and T8 Torx screws.
* The battery is comprised of six individual lithium-polymer cells, which combine to form a 35 Watt-hour battery.
* Although in a different form factor, the new MacBook Air uses the same Broadcom BCM943224 Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip as the current lineup of MacBook Pros.
* The back of the trackpad has a Broadcom BCM5976A0K chip on it, likely responsible for the multi-touch capabilities of the the trackpad.
* The 11.6″ MacBook Air features a resolution of 1366×768. That’s a few more pixels and noticeably more widescreen (16×9 vs 16×10) than the 1280×800 resolution of previous Air models. In a welcome improvement, Apple has substantially enhanced the rigidity of the display assembly.
