Artefact re-streams Flash to your iPad
Posted on 09:40 by Unknown
Despite Steve Jobs’s effort to not allow Flash to be integrated into iPads, some groups of people have been trying hard to make Flash runs on their iPads. Previously we’ve seen Smokescreen, a browser plug-in which converts flash into JavaScript-like materials so that it runs on iPad. Now some programmers over at Artefact Groups have work on another method to run Flash on iPad. It’s called “Flash in a Pinch”.
It’s still in early development stage right now, but still workable as an idea. The idea is to re-host the Flash on Artefact’s servers, which will render Flash SWF to work on Safari. Interactions between those Flash will be sent among the server and the iPad, which actually kind of slows down the actions and eating a lot of bandwidth on the way, which makes it rather slow and inconvenience. But it is still a good start. You can view the “iPad in a Pinch” working in the video, as well as the slowness of it.
